Last week on 21st of December 2017, Wondrous Shrimp Paste went to Monanie Family Enterprise Bintulu at Lot 2533, Kampung Assyakirin (Phase 2), 97000, Bintulu, Sarawak. We met with Monanie Family Enterprise Bintulu's founder, Puan Razuna Binti Kiprawi and held an interview with her.
Puan Razuna is a very heart-warming and motherly and she treated us nicely.
When we first entered her factory, she showed us around her small and humble premise. She also introduced her signature products which is 'Belacan Palas Bintulu' and 'Belacan Goreng'. Recently, these products have been marketed to Singapore.

There are also other fisheries product produced by her factory such as 'keropok keping ikan parang', 'keropok keping ikan tenggiri', 'keropok goreng ikan tenggiri', 'keropok goreng ikan parang', 'keropok lekor basah', and lastly 'keropok lekor keping'.
They dry all types of 'keropok' in front of their premise. |
All of these products have their HALAL certification and JAKIM's approval.
Puan Razuna also demonstrated on how she processed and packed 'Belacan Bintulu' before she market it. All of the machines in her factory are government's incentive for a Small and Medium Enterprises Corporation Malaysia (SME corp.) since Monanie Family Enterprise Bintulu is one of them.
In the nutshell, we should make Puan Razuna and her family as an example of today's entrepreneurship since they only started their capital with only RM50.
Last but not least, we wish Puan Razuna and her family can expand their business empire and became a well-known company later on.
