International Market For Fisheries Product

The fishery industry is competing and dynamic to be developed as it has the potential to increase large export earnings to the country.

Besides, the fisheries industry as one of the key economic areas to be accompanied by private companies will enable the country to increase food supply to protein sources to the people and generate export earnings to the country.

In Malaysia, the companies and agencies involved have organized several programs that enable participants especially fishermen to change into aquaculture and seafood processing.

It provides benefits to the country, promoting Malaysian fishery products to international markets and promoting investment opportunities in the fisheries sector to domestic and foreign investors.

So, here I inserted the video on how we produce shrimp paste using a machine.

Shrimp Paste 'Sambal' Recipe

One of my friend once tell me about her mom's Shrimp Paste 'Sambal'. She told me that she would never beat her mom finger-liking sambal even though she tried to make it several times.

She actually triggered me to search and try for the best recipe and the correct amount of ingredients to make Shrimp Paste 'Sambal' (The signature food for Malaysian Cuisine)

INGREDIENTS:
25 to 30 Bird's eye chili (a mix of red and green)
1 thumb-sized belacan
1/2 tsp sugar
salt

METHOD:
Pound and grind down all the ingredients until you get a rough paste. This makes about half a cup of basic sambal belacan.

PRO-TIPS:
1. For an added kick, mix 1 tbsp of sambal belacan with the juice of 1 kalamansi lime and 1.4 tsp of finely sliced lime skin.
2. Goes like a dream with salted fish, hot rice and fried fish.

For the best result, we used 'lesung batu' instead of blender.
